Septate uterus is one of the most common forms of congenital uterine malformations. The incidence of congenital uterine malformations is about 3-4% and higher in patients with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.

Using an operative Hysteroscope, the uterine septum can be resected to restore a normal triangular and symmetrical cavity.

Hysteroscopic septoplasty is a safe and effective procedure. Women with septate uterus and a history of infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss can achieve a pregnancy rate of 60% and a Life Birth rate of 45% after septoplasty.
